About Hawkister

Hawkister is a brand of Gift World, a partnership firm based in Mumbai. Before Hawkister existed, we spent a decade importing and distributing toys — sourcing directly from manufacturers in China, dealing with factories, and learning the difference between a product that photographs well and a product that holds up.

Cubes were a small part of that at first. They stopped being small once we noticed who was buying them. Speedcubers don't buy on packaging. They buy on how a cube corner-cuts, how it holds tension, whether the magnets are where they should be. That's a customer worth building for, because you can't fool them twice.

So Hawkister became specific. Cubes and puzzles, chosen on how they solve.
